Is there any way to do a full text search with the fudforum in egroupware 1.2?

The forum already implements a full-text search in there based on individual words.

Hi Ilia,
I'm sure it has a search, since it is enabled in the general preferences. But I can't find the Search button on the forum GUI that's implemented in egroupware.

Can you try to access it manually by passing ?t=search ?

Entering the following
http://myserver/egroupware/fudforum/3814588639/index.php?t=search%20?
doesn't seem to do anything. Sad

I hope my syntax is correct.

Sorry... made a syntax error.
Passing ?t=search brings up the search page, which works!

You just need to add a link to it on the side panel.

Well, you can simply adjust the usercp.tmpl template via the forum's template editor.

Just as a followup.

The egroupware implementation of fudforum doesn't seem to have a usercp.tmpl file. So, I modified the show.tmpl file by editing it and adding

<b>::</b> <a href="{TEMPLATE: show_search}" class="GenLink">{MSG: search}</a>

inline following
<a href="{TEMPLATE: show_links_lnk2}" class="GenLink">{MSG: mnav_title}</a>

and appending

{SECTION: show_search}
{ROOT}?t=search&amp;{DEF: _rsid}
{SECTION: END}

at the end of the template.

It adds a new link "show" to the show line following "message navigator".
