HI everybody!

I'm a newbe in PHP and WEBServer.... And I have some little trouble!!!

I have installed DRUPAL v4.7.2 on a Windows XP PRO and it's working almost fine!!! But, as we all want to improve things, the drupal forum is a little bit limited so I decided to install FUD forum!!!! Razz

Everything went almost OK, I've updated the drupal.module and user.module, created the accounts needed as explained on the install.txt but... and here comes my point, I can't find GLOBALS.php on my system nor on my HTDOCs....

Please HELP me!!!!

I'm using PHP 5 and Apache 2.2.2...

Wink

GLOBALS.php will be inside the include/ directory, which itself is found in the DATA_DIR directory you've designated during the install.

Thanx for the answer, but GLOBALS.php is playing hide and seek on my server!!!!

It's not in the folder you specified and it's not (when you do a search) on the whole hard disk!!!!

I think I've understood what it's for, access Database and other stuff on my forum.... why can't it take the settings in the folder \drupalinstall\default\ where settings.php is?

If it's not dependent of the insatallation, or can be modified in a text editor, could you send me one please?

PS: I can't enable in my php.ini "register globals" or any of this categorie, nothing happens after edditing....

The file is a configuration file so it'd be full of setting particular to your forum's setup. The easiest way to locate the file would be to go into the forum's admin control panel, from there to the "File Manager" and you should be able download GLOBALS.php that way.

I just can't understand, I've looked in the filemanger setting page and ther is nothing! Even in the folders used by the filemanager....

I can't get it right, on FUD forum or on drupal's forum, nobody speaks about "globals.php" missing.... It seems obviouse that it's suppose to existe somewhere, but not on my installation....

It's nowhere, did I forgot to do something???? The site works ok...

If you attache one example of globals.php so I can have a look at it, maybe I could rewrite the settings inside... For sure, I don't have it ( would it be the version PHP or my operating system????)

Anyway, thanx a lot for the help!!!! It's time to go to bed in France now!!! If you have anymore ideas, I'll take a look tomorow morning!!!!

The file name is actually GLOBALS.php and it can be found inside the DATA_DIR/include directory, without it the forum wouldn't work Smile

Here is what I have in my include folder... and the site works...

Register-globals are Off in php.ini and in drupal system info and cannot be turn on... May be it's the reason why I don't have the file....

You are looking inside the wrong directory. The include/ directory I am referring to is one of FUDforum's own directories not a drupal one.

I dunno about drupal module directory, but if you go into the forum's file manager there will be 2 directories listed. One of the is data_dir and inside it there is include/ directory containing the GLOBALS.php file.

Have you actually installed FUDForum? I'm not referring to the Drupal FUDForum Integration module. You need to have the following installed.

- FUDForum; and
- Drupal; and
- Drupal's FUDForum module.

Yes, It was the reason why I didn't the globals.php!!!! Now all becomes clear!!! BIG BIG thanx to you!!!!! Smile

http://drupal.org/project/fudforum

I'm sorry but the explaination was not clear enough as all my team understood the same thing as I did: install the module and your drupal forum will look and have the fonctionalaties of FUDforum...
We never thought I would a link to a second site where you run the forum, that's why I didn't install FUDforum on the first place...

Maybe the documentation of this module should be clarified a little bit.... Razz

Anyway, now it's working fine!!!!!!

Thanx a lot for the help!!!!!!!

Done. The following line was added to the project description:

"NOTE: Do not download this module unless you have a working FUDforum installation.".
