A new version of FUDforum is on the release path. This release is largely a feature addition release with a fair quantity of new functionality being added. That said there were a few bug fixes sprinkled in between as well.

New Features
  1. Updated Yahoo Ajax lib
  2. Added an option that enabled admins and moderators to edit topic ratings
  3. Added Account moderators
  4. Added GEOIP used to show flags beside member names based on IP location.
  5. Always default to moving messages into the saved folder
  6. Allow sorting of private messages
  7. Added up/down arrows for navigating category list on the front page
  8. Added an option of adding "permanent" announcements.
  9. Added Google & Skype IM links
  10. Improved display of topic ratings


Bug Fixes
  1. Fixed category collapsing (mostly IE related bugs)
  2. Added improved validation for JavaScript inside [img] and [src] tags
  3. Fixed marking of read in tree view
  4. Skip # on inlined templates
  5. Fixed account settings tab
  6. Properly handle NULL fields inside the data dump
  7. Fixed parsing back of wikipedia tags
  8. Fixed show own post tab highlight in usercp
  9. Fixed poll cache rebuilding
  10. Do not show prev/next buttons when not applicable in thread merge
  11. Fixed database version fetch for SQLite on system info page
  12. Fixed a bug whereby moderators would see extra forums on category view
  13. Update last login on successful login as well.
  14. Workaround for crashed in PHP on Win32 with __COMPILER_HALT_OFFSET__
  15. Fixed cancel button on admin control panels

Is it just me? I have the new version running and the new bits are greeat (thanks Ilia) but at first I found I had to refresh my browser after connecting to the page or all I got was a blacnk page. It seems to be ok for me now but other folks are experiencing the same thing. Any ideas?

There was a bit of code that was accidentally reverted that caused this, if you apply this patch and rebuild the theme it'll go away

oh dear!
I applied the patch (or at least it seemd ok), rebuilt the theme and now all I have is a blank screen. Any ideas how I can get my forum back please?

nope, all I have is a blank screen! I tried to do the sensible thing and back up db.inc b4 starting but of course I rebuilt the theme.

You can re-run the upgrade script, it'll put proper db.inc into place.

ok, deleted the UPGRADE_STATUS file as told and the upgrade script starts to run. It then complains it is missing :-

Missing Message entry_rating_delete in i18n/english/msg

Sorry to be a pain!
