Hello,

I use FUDforum 2.7.6.

I seems that it does not handle very well long password, like 20 characters.
When you subscribe you can use a 20 characters password, but you can't login with after ...

Actually i have got to reset my account on this very forum because of that Smile

The forum stores password as md5 hashes so the length of the password really does not matter in this case. The form has a limit on the number of chars you can enter, I suspect you simply did not notice that further chars were not taken by the form.

actually i was thinking of that sort of things.

But if this form is limited in length, maybe the password length should be limited from the beginning ?

Well, this is only my opinion.

There is really no reason to make the form limit password length to 16 characters. I've removed this limit now, you can download the patch here:
