I have seen a need to have group members linked to their profiles in the group manager. If this is not something in which the community is uninterested, I'd like to do it for my forums. Where should I begin looking if that is the case? I might even link them directly to the user edit screen.

I think I'm getting the hang of this. Editing the groupmgr.tmpl...
I added this above the group_member_entry section.{SECTION: find_user_group_member_entry_lnk}
{ROOT}?t=usrinfo&id={VAR: obj->user_id}&{DEF: _rsid}
{SECTION: END}
I modified the group_member_entry section:{SECTION: group_member_entry permissions for a user in a group}
<tr class="{ALT-VAR: mem_list_alt RowStyleA RowStyleB}">
<td class="nw"><a href="{TEMPLATE: find_user_group_member_entry_lnk}">{VAR: member_name}</a></td>
...
Addition in green: <a href="{TEMPLATE: find_user_group_member_entry_lnk}">{VAR: member_name}</a>
Now I have links to their profiles.

1) Why did you make the word "Member" a link and not the member name itself?
2) There is a also a link to the profile even if there is no real user selected, like "Anonymous" or "All Registered Users". I suggest not to add a link in this case.
3) In this context I suggest to add a colon after the word "Member". I think it would be easiest if it were added to groupmgr_member in the msg file.
