All I wanted to do was to deny the access to certain forums to some users.
So I created a new group at the group-manager and marked the forums to deny at the resources.
After that I added the users to that group and set all permissions (including the view permission) to no.
Result: The users couldn't read messages at the specified forums, but could see all the forums. This shouldn't be, I think!
I use FUD 2.0.2.

Did you take away their VISIBLE permission if you do, those users won't be able to see the 'blocked' forums via the front page.

Do you by any chance has other groups that affect this very same resource and could potentially allow users to see this resource?

What are the permissions of OTHER groups that allow or deny people to see the forum you are trying to hide?
