Hi.

I want to create one category (or some forums) that is only readable and writable by the members of one special group. Guests and registered users that are not member of this group should not be allowed to acces this category/forums.

I created a new category with a forum and a group and set the rights for this group to the categoy. But I couldn`t find a way to disallow guests and other registered users to access the cat/forum (only global permissions I could found).

Whow can I do this?

Regards,
Basti

You need to use the group manager linked from the forum's main page.

Hi Ilia.

I had to set "Anonymous and Registered Masks" to "Yes" while adding the group. Now there (group manager) are the options I`ve been looking for.

Thank you.

Iam going crazy over this...
Been trying it out for like 2 hours now..

Can you please explain how.

ex:
I made a forum called: FFF

And how can I let all users in forum ABC get access to the new forum FFF using the "user-land group manager" without adding every single user again?!

I dont want all registred users to gain access, only the users I have added into group ABC.

These should be a function to Inherit all users access into a forum.

If you want 1 group to control multiple forums you need to create this custom group via the admin group manager and assign to it all the groups you want it to control. Then you can add users & their permissions to this group via the user-land group manager.
