Hi all,

I have a question about assigning 'group' permissions to forums, and wonder if anyone can help out. I've RTFM'd and searched the forums, but afraid I'm still stuck here.

Here's a scenario:

1. Group Name 'Internal' create via Admin | Group Manager;

2. In that same dialog, I highlighted the 2 forums 'Group Resources' which i want to be internal-only;

3. I add the 'maximum permissions' and click 'Add';

4. Then went to 'Land user' interface, select a member, and make use 'Group Editor Selection' to put their privileges to nil for a certain forum (eg 'read=no, visible=no0;

5 However when they next log into the forums, they can see that forum.

Thanks!,
Andrew

Have you tried running the consistency checker?
