I can set the charset for the forum explicit ? I didn't made this.-
Then i use the defaults. For moveing the server, i just backup and restore with tar.
Maybe is important taht i move from debian sarge to etch also.

I just see that the "admbrowse.php" have the same problem

-rwx------- (700) www-data www-data 4 KB Mr 14 11:29:48 theme chmod download delete

Where can i set the charset for the forum ? I didn't found it.

Thx Thorsten

The charset is defined in the localization.

For example thm/default/i18n/german/charset (this is inside data_root) You can use the forum's file manager to locate the change the file as needed.
You can also change the charset inside the theme manager.

Now is solved. The reason was that Debian changed the default charset to UTF-8.
For my java applications this had no effect. But for my old satatic website and my forums the "Umlaut" oocur.
Now i change the charset for the vitualhost.
AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1

for me now all seem to work fine. I hope this solution have no drawbacks.
