Hello,

I have stored all mails in text files till now. But now I would like to migrate to a database storage because, even tough it should be slower, it can be replicated through multiple hosts easily.

The fact is now I have some messages stored in the database and some stored in text files. Is there a way to move messages from text files to database and eventually move messages from database to text files?

Best Regards

Hi,

I was in the same situation, I created a simple script to do the job. (text files -> db)

This script if very basic with minimal error handling. It worked well for me, but You should review it carefully before using it, just in case...

Hope it will help you.

Use Database for message storage:
If enabled, regular and private messages will be stored inside a database. This is not recommended for performance reasons!

In mysql storage to be faster?

No, it is definitely not faster, but mysql storage can be easily replicated with mysql cluster.
