I tried to e-mail the url of a thread to a friend, using the built-in function. When he clicked on the url he got this back:

Error in function/script: db.inc
has caused the following error: query failed: %( UPDATE fud_users SET last_visit=__REQUEST_TIMESTAMP__ WHERE id=1 )% because %( Unknown column '__REQUEST_TIMESTAMP__' in 'field list' )%
while processing script name: /foo/bar/forum/msg.php
the error occured at: 12/07/2002 06:08:52 GMT
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530
User Ip: xxx.xxx.x.xxx
Script Accessed: /foo/bar/forum/msg.php

Query Failed: UPDATE fud_users SET last_visit=__REQUEST_TIMESTAMP__ WHERE id=1
Reason: Unknown column '__REQUEST_TIMESTAMP__' in 'field list'
From: /foo/bar/forum/msg.php
Server Version: 3.23.47-log

What's going on? I don't understand this error.

This is fixed in later FUDforum versions.

The problem actually is with PHP, which cannot handle defines & locales appropriately.

In later version of FUDforum all defines have been lowercased to prevent this problem.
