I just installed FudForum, FUDforum2_20020712 release. Everything seems to be working, except for the template editing, whenever I try to invoke the template editing function from the main admin panel, I get a screen asking me to select a template set. I select "default" and then get a simple login/password screen. When I enter the admin uid and password, I get put back to the main admin screen. Selecting edit template just starts the process over. Entertaining at first, but gets old after 20 or 30 cycles. Smile

Thanks,
Larry Barber

The same thing happens with the message editer, the Theme Manager selection seems to work OK.

Thanks

Does your forum use cookies or no? If it does use cookie, are they set correctly?

Also, which browser are you using?

Thanks for the hint. I had www_root specified using an IP address (this is just a developement machine at my home, no DNS) and the cookie domain set to "localhost". When I changed the cookie domain to use the IP address things started working.

Just for record I was using Galeon and Mozilla browsers.

Thanks again,
Larry Barber
