the forum sets all external links to
target=_new

i realize that _new is valid but it could at least use some quotes. in its current state opera does not recognize it as being a target for a new window. i get to use my ever friendly middle click to open the link in a new window. i usually use
target="_blank"
and it works with all browsers.

Good catch, I will ensure that all _new are converted to _blank before 2.2.4 is released.

cool...i didnt really feel like sifting throught it myself Very Happy

im still looking through the code to get a feel for it and see if i can may contribute a patch here and there. i would really like to add in something so that you can go to a page to view recently updated threads. just viewing the posts gets confusing.

Well there is the general 'message mangling' form.
It allows you to see "Today's Posts" as well as "Unread Posts" and a combination of various options in between. This form however shows entire message bodies in addition to the appropriate thread/forum names.

I presume you want to create something to just show the thread names?

you are correct sir. as it is right now i go through every forum that has a new icon on the index page looking for new posts. it helps me keep track of what posts are in what threads and what said threads are about.

Well, to make it show just the thread names, you'd need to modify the selmsg.php.t & selmsg.tmpl files and make it display the message content as an option. Then add a switch to the form, allowing the user to turn on/off display of message bodies.
