I am running on a WinNT 4.0 SP6a, PHP4+ and MySQL 3+ system. If you need specifics I will get them. I get this error on every post. I have made the data directory webserver writeable, but not browseable. Help!

(I know it is a 'NIX world in here, so be gentle) Confused

What are you using as your webserver?

If you make the data directory browseable does this resolve the problem or no?msg_1

This browsing enabled, I have the same error. And with browsing of the data and subdirectories disabled I get the error. The documentation states that those areas should not be publicly browse-able, so I did as the book says.

That is correct, I was just trying to see if permissions you've set may have caused the problem.
Allright, on the next step, does the file msg_1 exist, and if so what are the file's permissions?

Also, how are you using PHP, sapi module or cgi?

I just adjusted it's permissions to full control and it worked. Laughing

CGI mode on PHP.
