The user name is missing.

Seems to be appearing on this forum, which is running 2.3.0RC1, are you using custom theme or something to that effect?

I checked the message on my template. It displays:

usrinfo_profile: {VAR: user_info}'s Profile

So the question is why is the VAR not translating?

because it should be:
{VAR: u->alias}'s Profile

The variable 'user_info' is no longer used.

Ok, obviously I need to recreate the template.

Can there exist some type of alert mechanism when these things change? That way we can go in a make the changes to our templates.

Actually the particular issue appaers inside the msg file. I am not sure why, but the file should've been replaced when you've upgraded to 2.3.0RC1.

My template has been acting very weird for several builds. Its time to just blow it away and start from scratch.

The new template shows the names as expected. Smile

Yeah, I had similar problems with my custom usercp.tmpl and forum.css.tmpl. Seems you pretty much need to rebuild from scratch every time the y in x.y.z changes.

Now if only I could keep it from overwriting the custom graphics I naively put in the default theme and main image directories.

I'll take a look, overwriting of Graphics is BAD, it shouldn't be done, I'll look into that problem ASAP.
