Hi
Extended search (through messages, users) would be a nice idea.
By extended search through messages I mean search based on regular expressions, sender name, etc.
Search in user list could give more options like searching by age, location, mail, etc.
What do you think about it?

If you can code that and be fast by all means, but what you suggest will be notoriously slow. Not an option.

You fail to see a big picture, I think. Waiting a few seconds for a response is fine when you are the only user, however when there are many users this few seconds will quickly become a few minutes. And it won't take a genoius for someone to notice this and write a short script that will DDOS the server based on this 'little' slowdown.
FUDforum is open source project so if you want this additional functionality you are more then welcome to add it to the forum. However, as I've indicated before, I do not intend to add this to FUDforum.
