On my 2.3.2 I noticed that the defaultview is always the flatview. It doesn't matter what is set at the user-profile.
I have to click on the button treeview at every thread.

There are 4 options pertaining to 'views' inside your profile, which on did you pick?

First, I only had two options and I picked treeview.
After allowing the treeview at the Admin Control Panel I got 4 options.
