no, FUDforum does not use frames.

so do i need to add that header in the index.php page? Any example will be of great help.

you can do all that stuff in FUDForum Admin Control Panel:

1. Template Management->Template Editor
2. Chose "default" and "english" (or the language you use)
3. Chose "[ + ] header.tmpl" for the top part of the page and "[ + ] footer.tmpl" for the bottem part
4. edit the html, link new images etc.
