I've noticed that file-attachments are not being removed from the server in case a particular attachment is being removed from an existing message when using the edit message functionality.

I've also tried to run 'Forum Consistency', 'Rebuild Search Index' and 'Compact Messages' to see if it would clean up anything, but that did not work.

I'm currently running version 2.3.4

Prottoss,

I guess you've modified the edit functionality, but did you also modified the consistency check in order to cleanup unreferenced file attachments?
