I go to edit somebodys profile. The page loads, click on update and it dont update it goes to my profile which is admin.

Hmm... I've tried replicating the error you describe however it does not seem to happen for me. I have a few questions that if you don't mind answering may help me solve this problem.
1) Which version of the forum you are running.
2) When you click update button have you entered the administrator password in the password field or no?

ummm yeah when u updated the profile i dont normaly add the pw till it says plz enter pw to change details. but now that dont even come up. one of the forum posters put this in the image box <img src="http://homepages.uel.ac.uk/M.N.Lansley/alig-side.gif">
