Hi
I'm newbe and I have a little problem. I had to change the home url in the GLOBALS.php file but the forum starts still with the old url. What must I do?

You need to use the theme manager to rebuild the theme.

Thank a lot prottoss. I tried it out and it works. But I have still two questions.

1. What ist the difference between the two functions in this section.

2. Actually it works with a ip-adress but not with a logical url. If I use a logical url nobody can login.

Hmm not sure, could be a cookie issue, I am not entire certain by what you mean 'logical' url. But if it something like 'localhost' then some browsers will refuse to set cookies for those.

Well actually I have a domain name www.musique-francaise.de at my old hoster. There I made a redirect to my new dedicated server http://213.133.108.50/nolwenn/public_html/forum/. This works fine I get the startsite of the forum but when I say in the admins section that the home url is http://213.133.108.50/nolwenn/public_html/forum/ I can login but if I say it would be http://www.musique-francaise.de/public_html/forum/ there is no login possible.

I must say that the cookie url is in every case 213.133.108.50.

I don't know the dependences of theese url names respective path-names.

Do you have any ideas?

You need to do 3 things:

1) Change cookie domain to: .musique-francaise.de
2) Change WWW_ROOT to: http://www.musique-francaise.de/public_html/forum/
3) Rebuild the theme.

Hi prottoss

I didn't try it out because I had a lot of other things to do with starting my server, but now today I lookt if it works and unfortunately it didn't work.

But I hav to say that now I would like to do it with a subdomain forum.nolwenn.tv.

With both entries in cookie-domain .nolwenn.tv or .forum.nolwenn.tv it doesn't work. What can I do now.

Either one should work. Maybe your browser rejects cookies?

Well I had to change the cookies path to blank. In the past I pointed with the url in un upper directory. But now with the new subdomain I point into the path forum. Now it works fine.
