How about this (feature request?).....Having a "custom" selection in the dropdown box and an additional text field where you can give it a specific date to expire on. Also, maybe have an expre to "hidden" where it's gon for everyone but the moderators so that at a later date they can reintroduce it.

Too much of a pain to implement?
