Maybe I should mention how I planned to install it:

data dir: /home/httpd/html/data
forum dir: /home/httpd/html/forum

URL:

http://www.serveur.fr/forum/

In order to install the forum I created:
/home/httpd/html/setup/

and made it writable for the server, as well as the "html" dir itself
