When you have forums connected to mailing lists, one of the things that bothers the mailing list people is when someone replies to a year-old thread. While perfectly fine in a forum setting, it's NOT fine to then to send that reply out to the mailing list.

What I'm looking for is a setting in the mailing list settings that says "Do not send replies for threads started more than N days ago," and allow you to specify the value for N.

Should this be a core hack or a plugin?
