That is because my code was not tested. ;-)
He is a better version:
<script type="text/javascript">
var myPHPScript = "http://www.example.com/myScript.php";
var milliSecSinceUE = (new Date()).getTime();
var myFakeImage = new Image();
myFakeImage.src = myPHPScript +"?nocache="+milliSecSinceUE;
</script>
(The last line was wrong.)
