Works for me:

<?php

$_POST['markup'] = 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet' . PHP_EOL;

// First time
eval(' ?>'.$_POST['markup']);

// Second time
eval(' ?>'.$_POST['markup']);

.... prints this:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet
