technical newsgroups generally frown on traffic-whoring spam.
Announcements, etc. are considered off-topic. Before you post, it's
best to get the 'lay of the land'. Consider your knocks to be suitable
wrapped with a ruler.

It could have been worse. You could have posted a job listing. In some
groups, that would get your hand cut off. With a rusty hacksaw. And no
anastasia.
