For suggestions about new features for upcoming releases, the following would be nice:

1. if one more layer of folders was possible. You have forum and category. It would be nice to have sub-category.

2. Also, it would be neat if messages could be moved across boards, for those who have more than one.

Suggestions not meant to be a nuisance! I love the product. Really great to have what we already do!

1. Sub categories already exist

2. Moving messages across boards is not something that can be done really and I do not think there would be any real interest for such a feature. If you wanna move content from one board to another, either just create the posts via the FUDAPI or go with the good old copy-paste. Or, something even smarter, just use one board Razz

Hi Sean,

1. You can already create subcategories. For details, look at "parent category" in the Category Management System.

2. It is easy to move messages across forums, however to move them between installations is tricky. The easiest would be to use the RDF parser in the forum's scripts directory: Enable RDF on the source forum and get the feed URL for the message/messages. On the target forum you need to edit rdf_parser.php to add the URL and run it to import the message(s).

Best of luck!

Frank
