I'm trying to embed videos from other websites but I'm just getting the HTML instead of the video. Examples:

<embed src="http://www.tudou.com/l/zpYRl1QoHNo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="opaque" width="560" height="486"></embed>

If you want to enter HTML, set the forum's Tag Style to HMTL.

Alternatively, write a BBcode plugin.

Ah. "HTML code is off." Where can I change the forum options? I can't find it in the admin interface anywhere. Sad I can only see Tag Style for private messaging and signature, but not the main forum.

Category & Forum Manager -> Edit Forums -> Edit -> Tag Style: HTML

It's kinda buried in there. Thanks for the help finding it!

Oh...so the formatting tools disappear. And the users are responsible for typing all formatting codes in their posts, including <br> to break lines? Just pressing carriage return doesn't break lines in posts. Yikes, it's back to BBcode, I guess. A pity, embedded videos are quite convenient.

There are a few plugins to allow embedding video with BBcode but only a few so far...
So if you know how writing or using one of them is a possibility there is also a plug-in writing contest at http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=119834&start=0&
