I have forums:

1) "Library"
this forum for final editions of topics, Read only forum.
Users rights for this forum:

                create topic    write   edit
registred       NO              NO      YES
moderator       YES             YES     YES

2) "Pre-press"
This forum for discuss about new topics.
After discussion and editing moderator move final version of topic to "Library"

                create topic    write   edit
registred       YES             YES     YES
moderator       YES             YES     YES

After moving topics by moderator from "Pre-press" to "Library"
authors cannot edit own messages in "Library" forum.
But his rights for editing own messages set in "YES".

I think, this is incorrect....

First of all 'edit' permission is permission to edit ALL messages in the forum controlled by the specified group, not just your own messages.

Can you try and see if the problem still persists in 2.5.0
