I tried to use a custom avatar for my profile on my forum.
I created a 100x100px jpeg image (i allwed uploading 100x100 avatars on admin screen of course!) and uploaded via profile edit screen.
The result was that, both if the avatar came from hard disk or url, the script sent me an "Invalid avatar" message. I also set in the admin screen the max size of the custom avatars, but it still gives me error

"File dell'avatar personalizzato:
L'URL che hai inserito non contiene un'immagine valida"
which means invalid image.

Can somebody help me on this problem? This is the avatar i want to upload.

Works fine on my development forum.The problem is likely the result of the PHP's getimagesize() function not being able to identify the file as a valid image on your server.

So what can I do to solve the problem? Trying first to upload avatars on a debug forum on my PC with the latest version of PHP to see if it works?
And by the way after it worked on my pc shall I manually upload files and SQL tables to my server?

To solve this problem you first need to verify that the problem is infact getimagesize() if it is, then you need to upgrade your PHP version.
