This might be so obvious to some people, but the answer escaped me for about two days. I thought I would post this and hopefully someone else may find it useful.

The goal:
I wanted to create a read only archive of a mailing list that I subscribe to.

Problem:
The website is remotely hosted and unable to install or modify anything like procmail. Hosting company uses a cpanel interface.

Solution:
The mailing list: maillist(at)maillist(dot)net
My mailbox receiving the mailing list: maillist(at)mysite(dot)com

I simply went to the 'Mail' section of cpanel, then 'E-mail Filtering'

I then added an email filter that would look for 'To:' with 'maillist' example: $header_to: contains "maillist"

In the 'destination' box I entered:
|/home/mysite/FUDforum/scripts/maillist.php 2

BAM! The emails are piped over to maillist.php and now I'm archiving. Very Happy
