On first login attempt I receive :

query failed: %( SELECT * FROM fud21_ses WHERE ses_id='b3c36930c6a92b45535a9fab51b780ed' )% because %( Table 'fud21_ses' was not locked with LOCK TABLES )%

I had this before, and a sytem reboot seemed to fix it, but maybe there is really a problem there?

I'm running 20020801 already... think it will help to upgrade again? I had a similar problem on an earlier version also...

Hmm unusual, you shouldn't be having this problem on a FUDforum 2.2.3+

Does this occur on a specific page or all pages?

It's pre-login, before any pages appear..

sometimes restarting MYSQL fixes it, other times it seems to want a reboot...

I've run the consitency checker, and it usually complains about a private message belonging to a non-existent user..

also re-indexed...

Very unusual problem, could you please give me a url to your forum, I'd like to see if I can possibly replicate the problem you are seeing.

When it happens, the error message I posted first is the only thing you get when you try to connect... after about a 30 second delay...

Okie, if/when this happens again, please try to get the following information.

The exact URL of the page you were trying to access. Describe what were you trying to do (ex. login in). Mention whether you were logged in or logged out when this happened etc...

I get the following every time I run the consistency check...

Rebuilding moderators
Done: Rebuilding moderators
Checking if all private messages have users
1 entries unmatched, deleted
Checking read table against users

I also just lost all my messages from a couple of forums (only)..

Consistency check fixed it OK...

I wonder if I've got something intrinsic wrong here..

Most unsual, so consistency checker did fix the problem, right?

Can you recall if any particular action causes the messages to disappear?

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to be associated with new members joining...

And the checker seems to have fixed it, yes...
