Wouldn't this be odd announcing a release candidate? 3.0.5 is the stable release correct?

I'm currently on 3.0.5, should I wait for a stable 3.0.6 release? Sorry but this announcement is very confusing.

FUDforum 3.0.6 (stable) was uploaded over the weekend.
I've also upgraded all my forums to it.
Will formally announce it as within a couple of days.
