I upgraded from 2.3.6 to 2.5.2

one of my users just posted today:

modesty_b - avatar size..?

Hey John--

Got this message when I tried to change my avatar:

Avatar dimensions of (110x110) exceed the allowed dimensions of ().

110 x 110 is the size of my current avatar, and of course that size is smaller than more than a few of the Jumbo-size avatars on the forum. Not to mention the fact that () is pretty hard NOT to exceed as an avatar size...

Maybe something got broken when you upgraded things..?

Not anything earth-shattering and doesn't demand your immediate attention; I was just in the mood to change avatars, that's all.

She changes avatars quite a bit... I have never had to intervene before. The size field was empty, in theory, to allow any avatar of any size. For kicks I put in 1024x1024 and asked her to try again... Will post if this was succcessful or not, when I find out.

Never ask a geek why, just nod your head and slowly back away.

As for FUDforum 2.5.2, we use getimagesize() function to determine image dimnetions. It looks like due to a bug in that function (PHP function) or a genuinly bad image it cannot determine it's size correctly.
