I know this is not your problem, but the reply buttons will not show up until the image http://web.icq.com/whitepages/online?icq=1670318&img=5 has finished loading.

The ICQ site apparently is having problems since its taking so long for the image to come back as broken. Can I disable the showing of these icons?

You can disable viewing of IM via the "Show IM indicators" in your profile. I am aware that sometimes ICQ online icon takes a little while to load, but that never prevented the page display for me.
