Hi

I have now tried to install several of the different install.php files but keeps getting the parse error, unexpected '}' at line 128 every time.

Anyone have an idea why?

Mads

Which version of the forum did you download? If you didn't try RC10, please do so.

I have now also tried to use FUDforum_zl_2-6-0RC10.zip (md5 checksum: e42c86e91291e35468065fc318e75ceb)
and the same as .tar.gz and both of them tells me that there is a Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in forum/install.php on line 128

i have checked which versions the server is running and it is php 4.2.1 and mysql is version 3.23.49

I have put the install.php in a new folder on my server called forum and given it wrtie rights

I've just downloaded both files you've mentioned and I see no parse error. Line 128 does not even contain any archive bits, instead it has a very simple PHP line.
