Hopefuly the last RC release prior to 1.9.8

This RC contains numerous bug fixes as well as some feature enchancments.

Major changes include the replacment of regex in GLOBALS.php editing code and removal of regex in smilies & FUDcode parsers. Corrections and additions in the German & Swedish translations as well as a number of gramar & spelling fixes for the English version of the forum.

As it stands now unless major bugs are found RC4 will become 1.9.8 by this Friday.

Current TODO for the RC is:

1) Optimize the FUDcode parser
2) Finalize German/Swedish/Polish translations (non translated strings need to be translated).

FUDforum 1.9.8 RC4 released! Due to the registration bug in RC3 we just released RC4, which fixes this bug and also includes updated selmsg which fixes a number of bugs that were persistent in it for quite a while.

In addition, for the admins RC4 includes a MUCH more improved file manager which allows delete/upload/mkdir/download functionality.

The new FUDcode parser is in!

In addition to re-writing the code to be more compact and slightly faster it also now supports the
tag, which is very cool IMHO.

Of course the new tag has added a new message so translators got something to do again Razz

Would it be possible to update to the 1.9.8 from a 1.2.x version?
Would the 1.9.8 be a stable release or still for testing?
Tnx, Mike

1.9.8 will be BETA release.

Between 1.9.8-1.9.9(Gamma) we will ONLY be adding small features & bug fixes.

Once 1.9.9 comes out it will only be modified with bug fixes. At this point I'll write 1.2.X -> 1.9X convertor.

As for stability, 1.9.8 should be a pretty stable release.

What is and what it does the
tag?

post_proc_reveal_spoiler: Ujawnij Spoiler

Hmm.

In which part it will be? Formatting tools?

Best regards,

Kerhold Cool

Thanks, the "Spolier" message appears above the spoiled text.

It would be cool if text within

would be made available as a javascript popup, rendered like this:

<a href="javascript:alert('text spoiling something')">spoiler, click to enlarge</a>

Maybe the way spoilers are rendered could be a user choice, "warning space" or "popup"...

It is a possiblity, I want to get more feedback on that tag's implementation before any decision on it is made.

I've just seen how it is currently implemented, and it's way cooler than ugly javascript alerts : )
