I have noticed a file entitled fud_errors which resides in the forumdata/errors folder and which, currently is using 4103K of space. I am wondering if there is a way to delete all or some of the entries, primarily to get back the 4 megs. Thanks. The last four messages are:

Thanks,
But does something terrible happen if I simply delete the log? Or if I remove all but one entry?

You can safely delete or clear entries from the log file.
Infact the FUDforum error viewer has a "clear log" link which will do this for you.

Thanks for the info. I will delete data from it manually.
When I attempt to use the FUD Forum error viewer, I get an error from the browser saying the page cannot be displayed. Why might that be? Is it especially complex?

Check your PHP error log, perhaps the forum does not have permissionss to access the error log files?

I don't seem to find a separate php error log. Some php errors are reported in my general error log file, so maybe that is where they all go. The general error log file, and its folder are set to 777 so permissions should not be the issue. Earlier on, I had trouble with memory when attempting to run the upgrade script for 2.61. The way I implemented that script was by wheedling a momentary increase in memory beyond 8 megs. Could the error log viewer require more than 8 megs of memory? (in combination with the rest of FUD Forum).

it is possible it may require more then 8 megs of memory, IF the log file is around 8 megs in size.

Sure enough! Once the error list was smaller, the viewer runs fine. Thanks for the help on this!
