If I try to login via the login-field at the bottom of the home-page, I got an error which tells me, that a login-name and a password is required.
This error-message looks like the login-page with two annotations above the login and the password-field.
BTW, it doesn't matter, if I try to login as root or a normal user.
Tested with FUD 1.9.9-RC1-BETA

Which PHP version is this and are your register_globals set to ON or OFF?
