I've set my time zone in Global Configuration|Server Time Zone, but the time still displays in GMT. I've tried setting it to several different time zones and there is no change.

Also, the 'Current Time' that displays near the bottom of each page is munged. Instead of the nice May 6 15:30:25 CDT 2005 that I see on this site, my site displays May 21:30:25 ric 2005.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible that the timezone values you are selecting are not supported by your server's operating system.

I'm just selecting from the pulldown menu. How could I be selecting a value that is not supported? I'm selecting "United States/Chicago Central Time." That's my time zone. I tried just typeing in -0600 but it wouldn't let me.

I also checked the server just to make sure. It's set to central time, as well.

I'm running W2K3 SP1, PHP 5.0.4, and mySQL 4.1.

Change the timezone to a blank value, then it'll work. The timezone specification used by FUDforum are not all supported by Win32.

Nope, that didn't work Sad

The time is still off and the time display is still munged.

Any other ideas? Smile

I'm sure it's something I've done wrong. I've looked at other boards using FF and they all seem correct.

Thanks
Ken

So that's it? No one has any other suggestions? Could my php be misconfigured? OS? I'm looking for any help.

If you need to see what I'm talking about, my forum is located at http://mail.co.matagorda.tx.us/GEMSForum/.

Thanks
Ken

Have you changed the timezone value inside your profile, or inside the forum admin settings? If you only did one, make sure that you modify both values, and set them to the "blank" option.

I hadn't changed timezones in my user settings. But now I have and it hasn't changed.

You may be on to something, though. I've now noticed that before I log in, the correct time shows with 'Central Daylight Time' spelled out but the actual date still doesn't show (i.e. May 16, 'May' is displayed but no '16'. the time is displayed immediately after the name of the month.)

Thanks
Ken

Here is the fix for win32 timezone problem.

http://cvs.prohost.org/c/index.cgi/FUDforum/chngview?cn=3532

This is a win32 specific list of timezones that should work properly.

Thanks for the fix. But I ask you to forgive me because I am unfamiliar with PHP. How do I apply this fix?

Thank you again.
