I would like to place an adbar above the last message in a given thread but I am having trouble getting started. Does anyone have any pointers to a template or source file that I can handle this with?

I saw that, but I guess my question is whether there is anything that helps identify the last message in a thread, as opposed to putting an ad with every message.

Message block is output as one template string, so to add an advertisment at the top or bottom is easy, just put it before or after that block.
