I have received several emails from users about a problem on the forums. When you login to the forum you get a page cannot be displayed page... however if you refresh that page you are logged in. Also, if you use the drop down box at the bottom of the forums to change boards it does the same thing. Any idea of what might be causing this?
Thanks for your help,
Heidi

Do you have any messages in your webserver error log file?

What urls are people accessing and what forum version are you running?

I think I got it... my access log files were over 2gb and I usually clear them out every few days but I haven't done it for over a week... as soon as I cleared them the problem stoped.
Guess I better stay on the ball Rolling Eyes .
Thanks for your help though.

Oh.. I forgot to mention... When I sent out the email using the mass mailer today, I opened my email program and had a noticed that the forum was sending an email to me along with each one it sent to a user.. I had to download a couple hundred of the emails I sent that came to the admin address I have in the forum. When I saw this I closed the mass mailer and the emails stopped coming. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?... I have no idea if it sent the email to everyone.. I have over 11,000 users so I'm sure it would take awhile. Do you know if the mailer can handle this many users?
Thank you for all your help!

Could it be you've ran out of drive space or something?
That would cause problems for the forum.

The mailer should be able to handle many users without a problem.
I'll look into my you had recieved a copy of every email though, that does appear to be a bug.

I have plenty of space. I have a 40gb server. I think the access log file was just too big. I will try the mass email again.
Thank you,
Heidi
