Unfortunately we didn't get in:
E-Mail:Thank you for submitting "FUDforum" organization application to Google Summer of Code 2010. Unfortunately, we were unable to accept your organization's application at this time. We received many more applications for the program than we are able to accommodate, and we would encourage you to reapply for future instances of the program.
Best regards,

If anyone, nevertheless, wants to work on any of our GSoC Ideas or sponsor the development of any of these ideas, please let us know ASAP.

We already have a potential student that would like to work on FUDforum. The biggest hurdle at the moment is to get enough mentors that would be willing to assist students. If you can help, please let us know ASAP.
For users on IRC, please join #FUDforum on freenode.net and help us to look out for students and newbies that may need assistance.
I've also created a mailing list on Google Groups to make it easier to get hold of FUDforum contributors and volunteers. For more info, please visit and subscribe to http://groups.google.com/group/fudforum

If anyone is interested in participating in Google's 2010 Summer of Code (GSoC) program, please let us know ASAP. To participate, we will first have to apply for FUDforum to be accepted as a "mentoring organization". We are looking for:
1) mentors to guide students.
2) students willing to work on and enhance FUDforum.
3) project ideas (new features & plugin's students can work on).
For more details, visit Google's Summer of Code site http://socghop.appspot.com/
GSoC Website:The most common question we get from students is "How do I prepare for the next Google Summer of Code?" The simple answer is not to wait for the program to get involved in open source. Start checking out projects now: take a look at documentation, check out their source code and idle in some IRC channels to see what interests you.
Best regards.
Frank
