Just be careful, the archive may be incomplete! Don't trust it unless you've done a test restore on another system.

Working fine here but I can see the same thing happening in the future as we grow.
Is there a shell script that could be run that mimics the web interface. No time limits when your ssh'd into the host box.

Yes, that's what they told me.
Interestingly enough, that didn't prevent the archive to be packed and saved in the /data/tmp folder,as I thought it did.
Just the usual report in the acp doesn't appear anymore, and neither the dropbox plugin work, but fair enough.
As long as I have an archive I could use to restore in case of big problem

You're probably stuck writing your own soluton. Your hosting provider probably has execution and/or limits and timeouts to protect other hosted sites.

Yeah, that's what I couldn't do either. Datadump doesn't work any longer. My ISP said it keeps timing out after 120s and that's that. They say it's a software problem. Can't use command-line, though, as it's shared hosting...

both keep timing out on me via web interface, and neither will run from CLI.
it shows a 302 moved temporarily
