Hi,
Don't know if this has anything to do with the backup problem but on checking the forum files I saw a .backup_timestamp file I don't recall was there before. Permission rights are 644.
Could this have a relation to the problem ? File itself is 0ko...

Exactly. I can't have that kind of access. They run very regular backups themselves and told me I could retrieve my data easily. Fingers crossed

If you can get to the command line on your server you can try running admdump.php from the CLI. The CLI tends to give you better debug information.
I know my suggestion is a stretch knowing most host providers don't allow that type of access, including mine.

I usually check the "Skip Search Index" but that shouldn't matter in your case. Do you get thrown to a internal server error code screen or does the backup die at the datadump screen?

I was having a similar issue. Un-check the "Use Gzip Compression" option if it's set. That's what worked for me. No size difference and lightning fast.
Hope that helps and good luck!

If you backup both your DB and all files, you should be able to get your forum back if things go south.

Can't backup |

Hi,
Running FUD 3.0.6 RC2 and wanting to backup before upgrading to 3.0.6.
Backup doesn't work and stops. From the size of what is imported, one tenth of the
data is in the zip file.
What to do ?
Upgrading to 3.0.6 anyway and risking a mess-up ?
