When I run my leafnode.sourceforge.net server I use a FQDN of dur.bounceme.net which is what "hostname" returns from the console on Ubuntu for me. This works fine for leafnode.
When FUDForum prompts for a FQDN, should it be localhost or dur.bounceme.net or even, apparently, .dur.bounceme.net with the "." prepended?
Any usage of a FQDN seems to trigger a security feature which prevents logins as admin when the URL in firefox is different from the FQDN. In this case, the FQDN is simply registered as a convenience and is not actually hosted anywhere, so will not resolve to an IP address through DNS.
