Ok, I got bit by the Compact Message bug and lost all 13,0000 messages.

Up to this point I've only been backing up the database, where I mistakenly assumed that the messages were stored. Looks like the contents of the messages directory need to be backed up as well.

Does the datadump script handle both the db and the messages directory?
